The Lord Will Come and Not Be Slow, by John Milton The Lord will come and not be slow, his footsteps cannot err; before him righteousness shall go, his royal harbinger. Truth from the earth, like to a flower, shall bud and blossom then; and justice, from her heavenly bower, look down on mortal men. Surely to such as do him fear salvation is at hand! And glory shall ere long appear to dwell within our land. Rise, God, judge thou the earth in might, this wicked earth redress; for thou art he who shalt by right the nations all possess. Advent Antiphons, by Sister Charlita
From Mary's sweet silence
Come, Word mutely spoken!
Pledge of our real life,
Come, Bread yet unbroken!
Seed of the Golden Wheat,
In us be sown.
Fullness of true Light,
Through us be known.
Secret held tenderly,
Guarded with Love,
Cradled in purity,
Child of the Dove,
COME!

We all Stand in the balance trembling as we stand; Or if not trembling, tottering to a fall. The end of all things is at hand. O hearts of men, covet the unending land! O hearts of men, covet the musical, Sweet, never-ending waters of that strand! ...
